Adult OCD / Anxiety Support Group

Our member-led adult OCD/anxiety support group meets on the first Thursday of each month from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM at Memorial Hospital (3625 University Blvd.) within Classroom #4. (NOTE: This group is being held via Zoom indefinitely due to COVID concerns.) Detailed instructions on how to get to the room can be viewed below.

The group is ideal for OCD and/or anxiety sufferers over the age of 18. It aims to educate, inform, support, and instruct members about obsessive-compulsive disorder, which includes but is not limited to setting personal goals, learning strategies for ameliorating symptoms, sharing success stories, working together for mutual benefit, providing support to the family system and/or significant others, and promoting the common good of all members regardless of gender, race, ethnicity, sexuality, and religious affiliation.

All group sessions are led by someone diagnosed with OCD and/or a caregiver for someone with OCD.

Directions to Classroom #4

The meetings are in classrooms that are located on the south end of Memorial Hospital.  You enter on the south end of the hospital through the double doors under the large overhang/canopy. Turn east onto Harvin Road, off University Blvd. at the south end of Memorial Hospital (by the parking garage). Turn north into the hospital parking area by the parking garage. Park in any of the vacant parking spaces near the south entrance to the hospital. Enter the hospital through the double doors under the covered entrance (overhang/canopy). Follow the hallway to the left. Continue down the hall until you come to an open area. (About 100 feet.)  A TV monitor should be in front of you at that point with information about the meetings at the hospital for that evening.  Turn right and you’ll then enter the classrooms/education area. We usually meet in classroom #4.

Family / Caregiver Support Group

Our family/caregiver support group is ideal for those who care for someone with OCD, as well as OCD sufferers themselves.

The group meets on the second Thursday of each month virtually via Zoom indefinitely due to COVID-19.

Adolescent OCD Support Group

Our newest support group is for adolescent OCD and anxiety sufferers, ages 12 to 17.

The group meets on the third Tuesday of each month, virtually via Zoom, from 7:00 to 8:15 PM.
